I have a psycho cousin that has decided to go back to the JW's after never wanting to be a JW even though

she was born-in. Now in her early thirties she's decided to join up. I heard her say something about this

Sunday's WT was her favorite "to date". Very curious as to the subject matter. Can anyone let me know?

    Thanks!

It was all about creation. Quite a bit based on the brochures on the subject.

For some reason, my wife also came back very fired up. She tried to place the mag with her son (not baptized, walked away many years ago [now 30 something, then 17]). I had to seperate them when she started to cry because he did not want to read it. Later he agreed to take it just to placate her. I told him to offer to read it if he could ask questions later. I suggested that he ask her if she really believes that humans first appeared on the earth 6000 years ago. In the year 4026BC(E). In view of all the evidence that suggests not. I don't think she has even thought it out yet. She agreed with me that a global flood could not have occured in 2370.

If somebody gives me a watchtower in front of my kids i will usually turn on some Katy Perry really loud and jump around the room wiping my ass with it.

Hmmm very interesting. Wonder why my cousin thought it was so fricking wonderful? I'll never understand people

who go back to this stuff after clearly not wanting anything to do with it prior. I guess the pressure of being separated from

family is too much for her. However I'm sure she'll be one of those people that will study forever and never get baptised and

never go out in service since her father is a uber elder. After all that might cut into her hobby of going to rock concerts every week. But in the meantime she's getting love bombed to death and lots of attention which is what she thrives on. Whatever!

This was a dangerous article for certain types because it reminds them that "science supports the Bible and it must be the truth". Never mind that the article is full of specious reasoning and misrepresentation of science. I'm sure there are some threads around here debunking it.

I you personally believe that life was started by a Creator, then it was a nice article. Also, many people love animals. It was a welcome break from the previously boring articles. Really, to be special in JW land, something just has to break up the routine. The articled accomplished that. Next week, it's back to slavery and education bashing.

I think what Data-dog says above is correct.

Paradise is all about the furry animals and having endless days to study them. God knows the average JW isn't thinking about all of the modern conveniences that are going to be missing once the WT rules the world.

All they have is their petting zoo and endless fruit platters on the horizon.

FadeToBlack: "I had to seperate them when she started to cry because he did not want to read it."

This sounds to me like she thought this was a bona fide palm branch, peace offering, pass the pipe, parity of insight, because it was a fresh and timely example of the equivalence between GB words on a page and walking the walk into being examined under time constraint for your knowledge on a professional scientific topic, and then her having that assumption rejected.
