DC-i miss the good old days when everybody had sunday and thurdsday mtg.. (hotel issues)

  it seems that the poor congregations with thursday or even friday meeting are getting screwed out of any decent hotels near the DC venue. all those were gone within a couple of hours. the tuesday meetings took all the great hotels while the others get the nice suburb hotels 15-30 miles away. i am pretty sure they won't be happy .

  also a few people found out early and posted it on IG, FB and twitter, only to have some of them retracted or have holier than thou "friends" chastize them for ruining the secret and posting on social media.... i cant wait till i find out the releases and tell them and ruin the whole summer because they know ahead of time.

  anyone have experiences of staying in crappy hotels, or driving, especially if the venue is downtown and you could have walked if you could have got a good hotel.

  From early reports of the DC, sounds like the troops are restless.

  I'll bet lots of booking outside of "Jah's arrangement" this year.

  Anyone who has to go 5 hours is also going to have to take Thursday off just to get there. Another day off work and another night at the hotel.

  I think it was common to have information out early, even when I was in, and I left in the 1990s. I know I stayed in some shit holes a couple times, but my favorite was Reno and staying hotels not on the list and gambling late in to th evening. Knowing, if you were a good Witness, you should not have been staying here to catch me.

  we are assigned to the detroit convention. it is a 3hr drive for most of us.
