The above is title taken directly from the NYTimes.com and below is just a snippet of the article.

I specifically recall when my mother used to do the dial-in when she was sick, I heard a brother mention in the WT study make a comment about the Catholic Church and all the child molestations going on (knowing damn well that the same thing was going on in the Borg) All I have to say is at least they're making an effort to get rid of the problem by getting rid of the offenders, instead of telling them to "study more" or go out the in preaching service to rid themselves of the problem.

"The Vatican defrocked 260 priests for the sexual abuse of children in 2011 and 124 more in 2012 after the scandal exploded in Europe and beyond and bishops forwarded hundreds of cases to the Vatican, according to statistics compiled by The Associated Press.

The numbers were confirmed by the Vatican on Friday, and were based on statistics published in its annual reference books. Two Vatican officials had the statistics in hand but never cited them when they defended the church’s handling of sexual abuse cases before a United Nations panel in Geneva on Thursday."

Pope Benedict XVI defrocked nearly 400 priests for raping and molesting children in his final two years before stepping down as the head of the Catholic Church in 2013, documents obtained by The Associated Press reveal.

And that's only the ones that have been caught out in some way. They will only be the tip of the iceberg - there will be more that have not been exposed, or are still being protected by higher-ups.

And, it's no new problem. HAve a read of 'Fallen Order - A history,' by Karen Liebreich (Atlantic Books - 2004) that tells the story of the Piarist Order.

Yet the Catholic Church members acknowladge the problem and those in charge are taking action. Catholic's don't try to deny there is a problem. The WTBTS and loyal JWs deny deny deny, and continue to point the hypocritical finger..... can't have anything mess up the reputation of that org!

And yet when you compare the sizes of the two Organizations, the JW's have a problem as big, if not bigger than the RC Church.

They cannot deny forever, and there is no time limit on when cases may be brought, at least here in the U.K

May we see all perpetrators of Abuse in Court soon.
