Where are the instructions for formating text here?
Is there a webpage with instructions that I have somehow
missed?
Is it some sort of HTML-like commands that one enable one
to change font, font size, make italics, bolds and so forth?

Well, what I do, is if I see something I like (bold, italic, etc) click on reply---and then scroll and look at the text you see, and the coding is right htere.
I have a word file, and I bring it up. after I type in what I want, I use the paste and copy command and put in all my additions.
this is what I have so far:

Bold
Green Italics Red MaroonI think you have to click on reply to get it...

If you click edit on the post you will see how the formatting is entered. I am working on a better entry system right this minute (my Bank Holiday Weekend task )

Hi VM44: Also, when I see someing I like embedded in a post, that is not already known in the HTML codes or the reference Simon gave, I then click on "post reply" or "edit" of the author's post, and the codes are shown in raw form. I just copy them.
