After Tony's Talk: how are GB members selected and by who?

After the shamefull Tony Morris III Talk in Italy, I am thinking about how it is possible that a multi billion corporation is managed by 8 old crazy man?

Who's selecting new GB members? How do they do that?

Is it enough to be a extreme manager-elder, then getting promotion to a manager-CO / DO, put the organization strictly first and on who's radar you have to be?

I think Tony has always be Tony, isn't it? So, the other GB members must have known he is a very strange guy.

Conclusion: it's difficult to realize that these crazy-8 are in charge of the organization...

But who does?

If you believe that the GB runs Watchtower Inc., then you must believe that Obama runs the U.S.A.! The OctoPope is like every mega-organization on earth - puppets and figure-heads placed at the top, but faceless ones in the shadows have the REAL power!

Also, if the 8 - man GB were to be wiped out in a freak accident during their weekly conclave at Brooklyn, who would appoint a replacement GB - God/Jesus? :)

The WTBTS financial department would have bums on those seats before they got cold!

I understand that whenever they are ready to choose another GB member( aka get word via holy spirit) they place the pictures of the candidates in a circle on the boardroom floor .After drawing straws, the loser (with the shortest straw) retrieves a well-preserved crumpled paper bag crimp- folded at the top containing the old wornout brown shoes that the former WT pres., Fred Franz had many lively conversations with. Then the short- drawn straw man (GB member loser), slips each hand inside the shoe, gets on the floor; then proceeds to crawl on all fours in a counter clockwise circle while a recording of "The Hokey Pokey" and "The Toy Town Choo-Choo" simultaneously plays in the background.

Oh, but I have no idea how they actually make the pick.

In last sundays WT they explained, atht the appointment of elders by holy spirit happens, because a brother must fulfil the requirements outlined in the inspired word of God.

So were are the requirements for GB members in the scriptures ? If they are not there (obviously, since even a GB is not mentioned), this means, that the appointment must happen directly, like God or Jesus speaks to them or writes them an email (yes jehovahs chariot is moving in line with newest technology).

I beleive, with an answer to this question the whole thing stands or falls....

I think you will find all elders have to have those qualities that are recorded in the bible. For those who take on greater responsability I believe it would come down to their individual talents, like speaking well to others individually or an audience. A good manager and organiser, good with money. So mainly qualities that a large 'worldly' org would want of you

In the JW organization, obedience to orders, no matter how inefficient, stupid, or dangerous they may be, are valued above all else.

Talents such as creativity, innovation, and original thought are not only discouraged, they are actively & forcefully despised.

The better you can obey, the higher you rise in the organization. Freethinkers are considered troublemakers & are quickly weeded out.

Thus, by the time guys get to the GB, they have been mindlessly obeying for 20, 30, 40, or 50 years.

Is it any surprise that when these guys get to the top, and there is no one left to obey, they appear as just plain nuts?
