Do other cults new recruits say something like
"I heard the ring of truth, I just knew it was the truth".
Please provide documentation if they do. I want to write an article about it.

Well in buddisam they say you cant have truth with self. I think that has " a ring of truth about it" . It means you need get rid of your ego. Its kind of difficult to lead and not have an ego....all words are a seperation of truth.
Sorry if thats off topic. And sorry if it sounds silly but date i say " it has the ring of truth about it" for me.
