    I hope more of them go bankrupt. And I hope the officials responsible for protecting pedophiles go to jail.

    Intersting that the Vatican can distance itself from the liability of one of it's diocese. This is no doubt the model the borg will use to protect itself.

    I think you're right. And declaring bankruptcy is another way to get out of their lawsuit problems. After the bakruptcy is over they can just go back to collecting money.

    If there is anyone left to collect money from. How many Catholics will just slip away or drift over to the Anglican/Episcopal church and say 'good enough'? The RCC will start dying the death by a 1,000 cuts.

    You don't want them to go bankrupt. Judgments may not be paid. The New York Times had a very long article about this a short while ago. Some litigants are demanding that bankruptcy judges deny them a safe haven. You can't get blood from a stone.

    You're right BOTR -- I was confusing the two. I'd like them to go bankrupt paying out money to their victims, not declare bankruptcy to escape paying their victims.
