We had a brother who worked for the Defense Industry, he worked for a Military Contractor and left his job after becoming a Witness. A degree in Electrical Engineering with Software development as a Team Leader. He was one of the Witnesses I enjoyed spending time in Field Service because I loved to hear him debate others in Theocratic Terms. Three months in to his Pioneering, he was offered a job making $175,000 a year plus stock options and full medical. The Witness Elders and Circuit Overseer used him on a demo dealing with Unemployment and putting faith in the Pioneer Work.
Did Satan provide work for the Pioneer or was it the Brother's pre-Witness college life? The insatiable desire to learn and program, his rabid thirst for knowledge and new tech, computers and their circuitry? He is a Brother I will miss, was Satan the reason he got his job and will other Witnesses get a high paying job like Computer Carl? The Elders use to comment on his Alumni Subscriptions he was getting every Quarter because "Your magazines might give our youth the wrong idea and they might think you approve of College(which he did but still was made a Elder)".
The False comparison is classic of JWs using and omitting key information (The audience at the Assembly were never told he got his degree at Berkeley attending the College the majority of California's key tech giants once dabbled at.
