The issue of land and a new KH.

In my ex Kh, the elders were always saying we needed a new Kh but there was a shortage of land.eh? There's bloody loads around here and in other areas which would be suitable. What's the deal with this?

Vital considerations:

1) Can we buy the land cheaply?

2) Considering the medium/long term plan*, will we make a profit?

* A highly probable scenario for the WTBTS's sustained financial future, is to "consolidate" Kingdom Halls the way they close Branches and combine their function with one single Branch.

In the coming years, (soon!) many Witnesses may find themselves travelling a helluva lot further to reach their assigned Kingdom Hall!!!

Yes, The Searcher, they were talking about consolidating 3 maybe 4 congs.

I got the impression it was a to be done on a shoestring, if poss.
