Do you remember the girl in the coffee shop?

  I posted a few weeks back, about a young girl having a study in a local coffee shop. The sister she was studying with I knew, from my ex KH.

  I saw them again today. I acted on the advice from my previous post and wrote a note. I asked one of the waitresses to deliver it.

  I advised her to be wary of her involvement with the JW's and to look at jw.net and jw facts. She was actually baptised in September, my son told me. I signed it " a friend." I later saw them walk out together looking normal....as they can be, anyway.

  I did'nt change a life but I did feel better for speaking out.

  p.s; I wonder if this would be brought up as a "local needs" item, that there are rampant apostates lurking in the coffee and tea shops of the local community. Ha ha!!!

  Good reason they should stay out in Field Service instead of screwing off at Starbucks!

  Plus The End(TM) is very, very close. Think of all the lives to be lost because they were drinking coffee!

  I did'nt change a life but I did feel better for speaking out.

  I know the feeling....When I was at the office a young girl let it be known that she was having regular visits from J W's . I spoke up in a discreet moment and told her of my past and inside knowledge and directed her to some sites. The R V's died the death anyway and she said that she was put off when she found that the NWT was not the same as other Bibles and she felt that they had "lied to her" about that.

  I like to think that I might have had some influence though !

  Well, you did your job, so it's up to how brainwashed she is since she's already been dunked. She got dunked in September so she's probably still being lovebombed and she's probably thinking that they really love and care about her

  Quelly--no regrets. You did not stand by idle.

  I remember ignoring warnings from people who knew I was studying. I need to think more about the things that might have helped me.I wonder if anything could have.

  The woman who studied me in was/is a well-known pioneer who was strong and unstinting. (My husband referred to her as "The Dragon Lady).
