I was told that unlike Christendom's pastors of mega-churches, members of the Governing Body don't require a security team and that you can just walk right up to them and talk to them.

Is this true?

I went to a service where the audience murmered in great delight in being "at the feet" of these "great" ones. It was my understanding that they were just watching a video?

This is not true. Until recently it was. Now in most cases there is escort to prevent open contact, especially at conventions.

For many years, the GB would have an assigned brother to "look out" for them. With the past members who had speaking assignments well into their 80s, it was often to help stabilize them physically as they went up shakey steps at sports facilities, but most of these brothers are just that, BIG brothers, whose looks could intimidate any onlookers that might have bad intentions. However, unless one of them happens to be an ex-cop or ex-seal or ex-bouncer, they were just that -- BIG brothers -- and wouldn't have an inkling of what to do if there was a security risk. No matter. Surely the GB have divine protection just as they have divine direction from Jehovah and the Angels.

As the exposure becomes more and more intense and more and more people are hurt by the organizational disfellowshipping policies. the need for Governing Body security must be beef'd up. They are making enemies left and right with many that are coming to know TTATT and so likewise the number is increasing of those feel they have a personal vendetta to settle with these chief policy makers, and so the danger is very real, they must increase security measures to avoid a possible blood bath at one of their own organizational assemblies.

The new compounds they are building in upstate New York is no doubt being built with this in mind, seeing that the Governing Body is pissing a lot of people off with their efforts to squash debate and rebellion to the almight Watchtower Corporation through strongly inforced DF'n protocall. A reap what you sow outcome seems likely in time.
