If I had enough energy and time left over from silentlambs, batteredlambs, rape resistance and the blood issues, I would get involved in the fight for justice for these people. I cannot believe this video is legal.
And in any case, it certanly seems wrong. It brings to my mind the Roman Gladiators/Christians/lions days...I don't think these people got a single meal out of this.

I just hit the site briefly and I'd say it's about as tasteless and stupid as MTV's "Jackass".
But hey, they're bums!
I'm not defending the site, but let's define "bum".
First of all you have legitimate homeless. They have no where to call home so sleep wherever they can, but they are desperately trying to get out of that situation. They try not to ask anyone for "spare change" i.e. "begging". They are the ones we feel compelled to hand a few bucks to, or go buy a bag of groceries for.
Then you have the bums. They don't have a mailing address. They don't want to get a job. They don't want to improve their situation. Their day consists of begging for spare change to buy that next bottle of hootch or that next hit of crack or smack or whatever. These are the jerks who get belligerent when a passerby refuses to give them money. These are the riff-raff who harass the customers at your business and you get to deal with the complaints and loss of traffic.
Sorry, but I just can't seem to feel sorry for *bums*.
