B.B. My dear friend rest in peace brother. 89 years of living, feeling, sweating, and playing the blues. What a privilege it was when I saw B.B. perform live in concert back in 2002. I'll never forget it- he was on the bill with another Legend - Buddy Guy.
B.B. is one of the last remaining late 1940's blues artists that was performing up to the last year. I rank his influence right up there with Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, and John Lee Hooker which really became the connectors as ambassadors of the blues connecting them to the eventual Little Richard which borrowed heavily from artists like B.B. King and the other great bluesmen. Which became rock n roll. Rest B.B. rest in peace. Peace out, mr. Flipper

I spent the money to go see him in 1978. Bobby Blue Bland, Albert King were with him too. Great blues performers. Worth every penny.
