JW Spiritual Paradise? Bwahha (Children)

This is why I LOVE this open forum. Watchtower diss**t apologists like Psych get on here and spout off dumb stuff like this religion isn't God's channel because it has the truth (or not,?)but because of love among themselves. Then I get riled up and make a post like this.

LOVE AMONG THEMSLEVES? LOVE AMONG THEMSELVES?

In the last year, in the U.S and one in France, at least 9 Jehovah’s Witness children were murdered, and all by primary caregivers— who they should have been able to trust. Those caregivers probably gave off a variety of unmistakable signals that their families were in crises, but JW’s not having any use for ‘worldly knowledge or ‘higher education’ of course could not possibly have noted these signs. Certainly their ‘untrained volunteer’ window-washing-Fried-Chicken-swing-shift-managers-clergy most certainly did not see the signs.

I think about 4,000 children under the age of 13 are murdered in the U.S every year, equalling about .00004.

If Jehovah’s Witness children make up 1/5th of Witnesses in the U.S., that would be 200,000 children. (fewer actually, since we’re talking under age 13.) That means 8 JW children in the US (and probably far fewer) should have been murdered…there were eight, and those are the ones WE KNOW ABOUT.

No matter how badly I skew my figures, the murder rate of the children of JW’s for the year 2001-2002 was atrocious, even compared to the population at large. Why should ANY JW children be murdered? It certainly is not far better. It certainly is NOT a spiritual paradise. Not for the children. NEVER for the children.

The happiest people in the world, eh? The people most certanly walking in Christ’s footsteps eh?

What pisses me off the most? Just like the molestation issue—not one word in the publications or at the public meetings; Watchtower goes on and on about how the Nazis mistreated the poor Witnesses in 1933-1945…But these CHILDREN WERE MURDERED IN THE LAST YEAR. Why is this issue not on the Watchtower’s website?

Because Watchtower doesn’t care about it’s children, never did and never will.

We here at JW.COM will not forget….

Psyc, shove some of THIS 'Christ's love' up you a**.

Edited to correct my really lousy math

I'm sure they imagine that if they keep telling people they are happy that it will fool them into believing that they are ... maybe it does?

I think that some of the attacks on Bill Bowen are following the same technique: if they repeat often enough that 'it's not true' then maybe it will all go away.

Dung, you make valid points regarding elders being inadequately trained and qualified for their positions.

However, your use of statistics is very weak and misleading.

Your facts that 9 JWs were murdered - one in France and 8 in the US - are basically irrelevant and do not indicate what you believe they do. The numbers you present are just too small to figure to translate into an accurate murder rate for JWs.

In fact, if we used your numbers and logic, we could say that a JW has an extremely low chance of being murdered in the US and France and no chance of being murdered in countries outside of France and the USA. The link between JWs and murder that you are trying to create, simply does not exist except in extremely rare cases.

The fact is, these sorts of statistics are not necessary to prove whether WT policies are right or wrong. Sound reasoning and logic should be sufficient for that, and in the case of abuse, that victims exist at all should be sufficient evidence and reason to review policy.

When we toss around wild statistics that are absolutely impossible to prove, and then we run away with these unfounded statistics and create more statistics based on these, we weaken our cause and credibility and reveal ourselves to be biased and unbalanced.

(i could be wrong, but isn't it Watchtower dips**t apologists? )

I think Path has a point....our own testimonials are powerful enough to help people see the corruption in the WT. Just like when a little kid says, "it was a million miles long" we know they're exaggerating. That's why children are not taken seriously, becuase of their tendency to exaggerate.

Even if there were hard numbers, they would be constantly changing, and trust me, if our personal accounts cannot sway those in the WTBTS to change or leave, then idle numbers won't either.

Not busting on you Dung, just been thinking about that, too.

9 murdered JW children made the point I wanted to make...this is not the true religion based on 'love among each other'.

That's the only point I tried to make, and I think I made it. As I said in the post "no matter how badly I skew my figures.."it bodes very badly for the Watchtower.

I personally would like to see Watchtower deal publicly with this atrocious issue, that's not going to happen Ashi and Path if we just keep doing what we have been doing.

    And suggestions?
