I was baptized. I was a young girl at the time with no idea of what I was getting into. I only got baptized because my friends were getting baptized.

I got baptized on July 24, 1988--3 days from my 13th birthday. I did it for the same reasons you did. Also, there was a lot of pressure for two reasons: one, the congregation I attended was splitting up into two, and they needed more baptized publishers in the new congregation, and two, about 3 or 4 8 year olds got baptized in our circuit so it was like, anyone over the age of 7 in our congregation got pushed into the water, whether they wanted to or not. Almost exactly 10 years later I DA'd.

If my serves me well I was alredy disfellowshipped for a year or two. Actually DF'ing was and still is the best spiritual service ever rendered to me. Untill then being all finn I naturally had scales covering my eyes.
