    Hi there,

I'm writing my first post here :) Long story short, I feel like I'm making a somehow huge effort to be a JW so I started to wish to take a break from the usual JW activities. Here I am making one step further, I guess .

So, what could be , let's say, the strongest reason for you NOT to date a girl that isn't a JW? Aand eventually going to the next base.

I don't find any reason to avoid dating non JW girls, but in the end it all sums up to keeping it secret, which is annoying and, for the next part of the relationship, 1 Corinthians you know what.

the strongest reason for bible believers should be the bible... and the people of Israel. What were the instructions for them concerning girls? Why were they instructed not to marry girls from other nations/religions?

The only reasons for me not dating a non-JW girl are that I am heading up to 70 years old and my wife would probably not approve.

On the assumption that you are considerably younger, I would get as far away from JW's and anything connected with said religion, as soon as possible.

By the way I have been a JW all my life and I am still trapped in due to previously mentioned lovely wife and family.

Welcome gab_gab, Depending on a JW's personal circumstances dating a non-JW could cause JW relatives and friends to mark a JW and consider that a JW is a poor association and possibly to withdrawal financial support. I also would not recommend that a JW date a non-JW if they plan on remaining a JW. IMHO non-JWs are not aware of the severe social consequences of dating a JW and most JWs are incapable of being honest with themselves much less to non-JWs about the WTBTS - the WTBTS is a dangerous cult.

I can think of a very major reason not to date JW women versus non-JW women. JW women are more likely to have more emotional issues that can put a strain on a social relationship. To be a JW, a JW must have unswerving loyality to the WTBTS and conditional love for family and friends as long as one believes that the WTBTS has the "Truth".

How can a relationship be formed with an authentic persona when the cult persona is making a mess of things? Dating a JW is the ultimate ménage à trois nightmare for two lovers.

Peace be with you and everyone, who you love,

    Robert

I am a non-JW married to my Witness. The chief reason you shouldn't is for her sake. Why would she be interested in a guy who considers her second-class and who will dump her as soon as he decides to come clean? A loved woman deserves to be shown off, in public, without shame.

That at being said if you ever givex up your devotion to the WTS, non-JW women make great companions.

    Are you baptised? mistake

Why would you want to be a JW? mistake

I think you should take a break from JW. not a mistake.

Good job on limiting your JW activities.

    Welcome gab_gab!

There are many good reasons we folk here can give "NOT to date a girl that isn't is a JW".
