I just noticed on jw org they have a publication called the 2014 JW research guide. Browsing the topics, you can see it's the up to date doctrine.

One category for example is 'recreation and entertainment' and it's filled with gems referenced for research for jws, articles such as, "Keep leisure in it's proper place", "Why won't my parents let me have fun?", "Turn your eyes away from worthless things!", etc.

It's the online and instantly "adjustable" replacement for the now defunct "Reasoning Book." Most JWs never saw it coming.

"Why won't my parents let me have fun?"

Was the answer "because then getting a new tract at the DC wouldn't be the most exciting thing in your life"?

the guide only links to WT material from the past 5 to 10 years. Obviously all of this new light, one needs to be updated on what they can and can't do. Although it's easily summarized as anytime you have a few minutes, it should be spent in service or reading the WT's.

And it's going to get worse when they start putting everything in second place. That is code for that field circus is always most important--that communist kingdom that can spread to take whole lifetimes to work for. Fun has to take second place, meaning since communism takes all your time, you never have any fun. And leisure gets crowded out, since field circus always intrudes.

Worthless things? Or, things that have negative worth? If you are in favor of communism, by all means work your whole life for this tyranny. Otherwise, joke-hova and its tyranny is of negative worth.

I had a look but I am not impressed . What is the good of a partial index of material? One needs to be able to see everything, or nothing..

    THE PURPOSE OF THIS PUBLICATION

Jehovah God urges his people to “keep searching” for understanding and
discernment as though they were looking for “hidden treasures.” (Prov. 2:
1-5) This means that we need to exert ourselves in searching for answers to
our Bible questions and in finding help for our personal concerns in life.
This Research Guide for Jehovah’s Witnesses is designed to assist you in
    your search.

This is not a comprehensive index that lists every subject that has been discussed
in each of our publications. However, for each topic that is listed,
there are references to current and relevant information in publications
that have been produced in English, primarily from the year 2000 onward.

    HOW TO START YOUR SEARCH
Look at the Table of Contents on the next page, and decide which subject
would most likely contain the information that you want. You may need to
look under more than one subject to find it. The subheadings listed under
each subject will help you to refine your search.
Next, go to the page number that is shown and find the subject and subheading
that you selected. From the titles of the articles and chapters that
are listed there, select the ones that you want to review. If the publications
are available to you at home, electronically, or in your Kingdom Hall library,
find the article or chapter that is cited. Keep in mind that even if the title of
an article may not seem to fit under the selected subject, the article listed
will contain information about that subject. In addition to the Table of Contents,
you will find an alphabetical index of topics at the back of this publication.
Remember, you are searching for “hidden treasures,” which take time and
effort to find. So be patient in looking for the specific answer or direction
that you are seeking. The more you use this Research Guide, the easier
and more enjoyable it will be for you to find the information that you need.
Jehovah will reward your efforts and help you to find wisdom and understanding.—
    Prov. 2:6; 4:5.

What is the good of a partial index of material?

    .

All the better to keep JWs in the dark with....

"there are references to current and relevant information in publications that have been produced in English, primarily from the year 2000 onward."

    .

In other words, stick with the WT's newest bulls**t...the old bulls**t is contradictory and even more stupid than the newest bulls**t.

The reason it's a 'partial' index is because there is only so much crap they can publish in 14 years time compared to the past 100 years. They only want things from 2000 onward and ultimately want all members to ignore anything older than a few years so they can things up as they go with no accounting for it and can be unchallenged in their claim to power.
