I don't subscribe to anything supernatural anymore. But I wanted to experience it just for the simple pleasure of it. Since I don't believe anymore it has zero guilt and can just be fun. I did enjoy it. The guy was cool. He actually seemed to care about helping people. He offered the advice to go back to school and get into my career I really want. lol it was good advice from anyone. The weird part was he talked about me going through a rebirth right now and losing family. Hello!

Anyways, although I don't put stock in it, I enjoyed doing what I want and doing something worthy of DFing. My life now WT.

I am not surprised tarot is an effective divination method.

I went to a Women's summer soltice celebration a couple years ago. It was 4 days with lots of things going on. All kinds of woo woo stuff as Hortensia calls it. I just wanted to experience it too. I really liked it. In my cabin all the gals were into different things and someone did the Tarot cards on me. I don't remember being overly impressed with her interpretation.

Well, I am not sure how the cards are read. It could be that all the cards have a meaning that almost every person would apply to themselves since our personalities are pretty broad.

The losing family stuff, I dont know. It made me smile and chuckle he came up with that. He drew out the card and said we would be experiencing or were experiencing loss off family and friends. So........ It was pretty cool. Overall it was just a fun experience and my wife and I both got the good advice to return to college and for my wife specifically to enter into the field of Psychology. :)

I had a GF that used to use tarot cards. When I asked her about it she said she just used them to get a different point of view.

I always thought that was an interesting use for them.

I am still indoctrinated when it comes to Satan and the demons. I don't believe God punishes or rewards people and I don't even believe he cares about anyone, so really as I have had no experiences with Satan or the Demons I should not believe they care about human affairs either.

But I do have a phobia still. Not one that overly governs my daily routines but just enough to stay away from anything that JWs would call supernatural to a degree. I bought my son the Harry Potter books, and we watched some of the films. But I am weary of little coincidences that fortune tellers or Tarrot card readers reveal. It gives me the hibbie gibbies.

Yes I know I am probably still indoctrinated.

I read tarot cards and they can be startling accurate. I was trained by a professional reader when I was a teenager. Once in a while I pull out the deck and ask a question. I used to give readings to others, and the degree of specificity is startling. For example, I was reading for a man and it showed that his business partner was cheating him. I said, so you are a partner in a business... and he was.

As a reader, it reminds me of this scene:
