I don't know if this has been discussed here, but I came across this article and wanted to share. Do you think he really had amnesia? An excuse to drop the JW life and start fresh?

He earned a master degree and taught at a public school! I wonder how he managed to get a SS card! Why not go for stocks! IRA under his new name.
Amnesia person would not make it that far away from home.
I think he is a liar and he ran not just from his JW life but from his wife and children.
He did not want to pay child support payments or spouse support,so he saw one way out. He could have been stuck paying for wife's college education. Not much of a man! Divorce was not an option.
If he worked for public school how did he get a SS card? So there more to the story and it sound illegal.
Going back home for 650 a month pension would not be worth it if somone did not want that life style why go back for pension.
What about his public teaching job, how long did he work? maybe not enough as collecting 600 something pension.
Disappearing is against the law. Allowing other to assume he was dead.
Crazy how some elders pretend to be out standing brithers who could do no wrong, yet commit several crimes.
