First article, Hawaii law lets police have sex with prostitutes. Say what!!!
Honolulu police officers are urging lawmakers to keep an exemption
in the stste law that lets undercover officers have sex with prostitutes
during investigations (I kid you not), but they won't say how often.
Second article; A state board has granted 14 rape victims who had
been working as prostitutes the right to be compensated.
The problem with that, if a joe don't pay she can yell rape.

Sounds like you are falling into the JW trap of finding something local wrong and deciding the whole world acts like that. And they do not.
Jam used a popular cliche in the title, but that doesn't conclude that he thinks Armageddon must be coming because Hawaii police officers now can have sex with prostitutes. Some people here are doing what they despise the most: making up rules about how one should think about certain things. Should we ignore every bad news now, because caring about morality means that you are still a brainwashed jw?

Is it not a huge clue to you, that you are outraged at this article, as everyone would be in 2014, hence you brought it to our attention, knowing it would shock us. What does this tell you about our morals and modern culture? Better or worse that it used to be?
Even though your post is likely a misintepretation of what is likely going on, it still seems appaling. However, Solomon is treated like a genius super character in the bible with the most sacred of esrthly privelages...if you were alive and s faithful follower, you would not hsve batted an eyelid at his concubines as THAT was clearly the moral culture then . It is a sign that times are getting better not worse.

Why should we care what consenting adults do, whether money or favors change hands or not. Prostitution can certainly have deleterious effects on a community, but there are ways to address these without worrying about sex. And it has and will always be present (unless we want to start cutting hands, feet and other body parts off of those caught as a deterrent). Many places in the Middle East, such as the UAE, are tolerating it.
And Snare, I would love to try to handle that many concubines!!!! Or die trying. LOL
