When I clicked on 'Find a Meeting of Jehovah's Witnesses' on JW.ORG, I received a message at the top of the page which says, " WWW.JW.ORG would like to have access your location".
What is the purpose of this?

They're spying on you Searcher...
Probably nothing to worry about - it's most likely simply to allow them to show which is the nearest hall to where you are.
How can they tell you where the nearest KH is if they don't know your location? I expect it gives them free data. They will have a better sense of which neighborhoods will be the most responsive. I am very proud that I grew up on "goat hill." They did not realize where we lived. "Goat hill" residents owned homes, were better education, and would not purchase books or WTS. There was always some excuse about not wasting time on "goat hill." My parents would not let me do "goat hill."
