Protesting this move will only add to the persecution complex. I say better to let them set up a stand and be ignored. If individuals are going to convert it takes months and nothing will stop them from joining the cult. It's a shame but many converts have mittigating circumstances that make them prime targets. Circumstances such as, just moved away from home, loss of a loved one, break up of a relationship or loss of a job, can cause a few to convert to a JW

Whether or not JWs have a stand these types of people will always be vulnerable to cult recruiters.

IMHO it is better to let the WTBTS set-up semi-permanent propaganda stand(s). It is a lot easier to politely plant seeds of doubts in JWs as they guard their stand then chase after JWs in D2D FS. I would definately talk with local merchants to help educate them, as well as ask them to place Posters with QR codes to www.jwfacts.com and www.freedomofmind.com in their windows.

Don't get all apostate on them with your spiritual hydrophobia. Just send them links to jwfacts.com. Let them see if for themselves. If you "persecute them, they will go the legal route and set a new precedent. It's better to educate the locals in an adult manner. Just my 2 cents.

Sharon, CT selectmen might care about what Sharon, CT voters say. I worked in a political office. The public officials and their supporters don't give a damn what voters in UT or CA think. If they get replies from Australia, Britain, Canada, or New Zealand, they might actually support the stand. Far better to find a Sharon, CT arts group to oppose it.

Are 150 churches going to have space to peddle literature?

They stopped allowing statues in Central Park for a reason? Anyone who has ever walked past statue row in Central Park can understand immediately. Ugly.
