  I watched the movie again today with tears in my eyes.

  It was filmed in 1960 and Its all about the 1925 Skopes trial in the US about a teachers right to teach evolution.

In a response to the new social patterns set in motion by modernism, a wave of revivalism developed, becoming especially strong in the American South.   i saw it in the past. The ACLU introduced it to me when I was in high school. I am a big Spencer Tracy fan. There used to be an old theatre in NYC that ran classic films. The audience would stand and give Spencer Tracy a standing ovation when he first appeared. I would like to see it again. Thank you so much for posting this information. I am running out of films I want to see on netflix.
