I made a vegetarian one last night but you probably mean with meat?
I like either Xanti xx
The vegi Moussaka, you roast sliced aubergine, red pepper, red onion and sliced potatoes (that have boiled for five minutes) and garlic cloves in the oven for half an hour with olive oil and seasoning. Add pieces of tomato for the last 15 mins.
Then you put a layer of half of the cooked veg in an ovenproof dish, drop on pieces of goats cheese and spoon over some tomato passata.
Add the last of the veg and top with more passata. Mix plain yoghurt, two beaten eggs and parmesan cheese together and pour on top.
Bake for 45 mins.
It sounds complicated but once you've got the veg roasting in the oven there's nothing to do except throw some tomato chunks in half way through. The layering of stuff at the end only takes five minutes.
Simple?
1) Take a ready-meal out of the freezer and place in Microwave oven.
2) Press the button.
Serve when the bell rings.
Bluesey, you are naughty.
I usually buy the ready-made from Tesco but it's getting quite expensive now. Hence, I want to make my own.
Moussaka , from All Recipes (dot com)
I've made this one before, it's quite good. My Greek friends use ground lamb instead of beef and season with a touch of cinnamon as well.
The secret to taking Moussaka from "just okay" to "amazing" is in the Bechamel sauce. If the milk gets burnt even a little, you have to scrap it and start over.
