40 years ago today, Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth's home run record.
Hank's grandmother was one of our Sunday school teachers.
She never engaged in any name-dropping, but encouraged us with kind words and loving deeds.

I was 7 back then and he was a hero of mine. IMO, he still holds the record because he did it naturally.
Saw him play once when my grade school did a field trip to the ballgame. It was AWESOME. No home runs for Hammerin' Hank, but still awesome.
