Hope you don't mind me sharing my experiences of Holy Week in my new Christian life.
Went to my church for Good Friday. It was really moving. Some lovely Christian songs. Nice sermon, hymns etc.
Much nicer than the Memorial. I felt so great after.

It's been 4 years since my exit and I think this Sunday I am finally ready to stick my nose into a small, non-denominational community church for the first time. Kinda nervous.

I feel that as long as you, or us, are celebrating LIFE, life that the Creator gave us, whomever he is, (and it certainly is not the usurper Jehovah), that it is a blessing to us. We feel better, we have self-esteem, we feel that we matter, and certainly usurper Jehovah doesn't give that to us. He's all about death, destruction and meyhem. Think about it. The memorial is all about celebrating a DEATH. Well, it suits the usurper. Love you.

Good Friday services aren't fun for me. You focus on Jesus' death. The altar is stripped. A cross is dragged with black bunting. I feel tension. The service guarateess tension. I don't recall excessive crying in NY but in PA parishioners were crying profusely. I never know whether to comfort them or not. They even laid the chalice on its side. I try to focus on the triumph of Easter. OH, no coffee hour on GF.
Once I attended an Anglo-Catholic church. We had to crawl on our knees quite a distance to the cross. The GF sermon is usually very good and moving.
