To watch the "Passion Play"? I have visited the town near Christmas time and it's gorgeously decorated etc....
Wondered if anyone went to see the famous play at all.
Just a little bit of information as well. Councillors in Oxford recently, banned the reinactment of this play, as the thought it was going to be a sex show. What a bunch of retards!!!
You mean the famously anti-semitic Passion Play?

Not surprising that it is anti-semitic...though some attempts have been to edit it.
When I lived in Germany, my family refused to attend because of that. I was young and it wasn't until later I totally understood.
A little research online could be enlightening.

Passion Plays, in general, brought out antiSemities. American Roman Catholics used to sign a Good Friday hymn. Many Jews were killed. I knew the Roman Catholic Church in dialogue with Jewish rabbis decided to stop singing it. I attended an Anglo-Catholic church that Good Friday. It shocked me to find the hymn on the program. I did not find a single antiSemitic line. Many groups are identified as murdering Jesus. The history was clear. Sometimes I thought that Jews would have no role in Jesus' Passion.
Such a beautiful place, didn't see the Passion Play, but I bought great wood carvings...beautiful fountains too.
