I thought I could go back to the hall to be in and to point out things to wake up my children but I can't seem to go to much bs and going seems as though I'm telling my kids I agree, yet at the same time I feel helpless. Wife is completely in and she goes to a very good hall as friendlyness goes. Most my kids still not teenager's but feel as if I'm going to loose them to this cult. Spread a little ttatt to one of my sons and asked him to keep it to himself and he went and told his mother, fortunately mostly what I told him was jw history so can't get into any hot water. Friend of mine showed his dfD WIFE paragraph 17 of the WT of 3 weeks ago about them knowing the season and then he shared with her acts 1:6-8 and she just brushed it off. This is the thinking that scares the hell out of me that my kids will just become completely brainwashing zombies to the Org.

There may come a time Craz Guy when you have to just own up, disagree and take a stand mate. My wife, though she disagrees with so many things that ive told her, still wants to hold onto friends. Thats from soneone who knows the trutH! But with your children, perhaps when they see you stand up with conviction, with a ready defense for why u believe this way...that may wake them up a little. Remember the workd is big and scary to them. The threat of Armageddon is nigh andif they are bad little kids theyll die at armageddon. Reassuring them of the contrary, with my kids atleast, was essential.

Hi Crazyguy, Would you remain under the radar if you encouraged your children to go to college and to make more non-JW friends? Would overcoming thought-stopping platitudes when your children or wife use them get you into trouble? Be patient and ask simple questions like Billy the Ex-Bethelite did in the thread exJW Psychology 102--How to Ask a Question When Questions Aren't Allowed to plant one seed at a time. You never know what will work for your children and your wife.

Peace be with you and everyone, who you love,

    Robert

It's harder to wake up if you go to a friendly hall. It predisposes us to accept bullshit without questioning.

Your wife is bound to have doubts they're probably just sleeping, you never know what will awaken them because it's different for each person.

Many witness's view doubt as the enemy, and because of that they are afraid of doubt and doubters.

But doubt is'nt the enemy of truth, it watches over it.

Doubt is how you test truth.

Hence where there is doubt there is hope.
