"Chronicle of a Silence Endured" (chronicleofsilence.com) is a highly intriguing and deeply woven fictional piece. It chronicles the psychological and spiritual trials that befall the 'hero' as he moves through life bound by the stigma of his childhood abuse. The result is a self-imposed and family-reinforced sentence of intolerable silence across 35 years of his life.

It is a book for all to read.

The complex events that unfold are further explained applying highly-detailed psychological and spiritual research and theory. The work offers new knowledge, entertainment, and inspiration.

The events and topics that arise here are becoming increasingly universal, and that is what makes the piece so important and so relevant.

A book that will change lives By Splash Of Happy on April 26, 2014 Format: Kindle Edition This book has a clear mission. It is a difficult read as it deals with a topic that is painful... childhood abuse and trauma. BUT it is so much more than that. The story, along with the passages of spiritual inspiration and awakening challenges us to seek change within ourselves, within our families and within our communities, whether religious or non-religous. Mr. Verona's writing transformed me as the reader and it provoked thought and emotion that has made me see trauma, religion and family systems in a different light. The book transforms you and I know that it is one of those books that I will have to read again to ensure that I didn't miss anything. This book is a literary gem. This book speaks courage. This books speaks change. This book speaks hope. Well done Mr. Verona, well done.

This book will change lives today and in the future. An excellent read! By Kathleen Conti on April 30, 2014 F ormat: Paperback I bought this book "Chronicle of a Silence Endured" fully anticipating yet another story regarding child abuse in a religious setting. Only halfway through the book I found myself actively tracking down the books author Guido Verona which resulted in several long intense conversations with Mr.Verona by telephone. I have never seen a better piece of well documented and well researched work then what can be found in this book which explains in detail the epidemic dysfunction that has been occurring within the walls of the Vatican in Rome including all of it's Catholic diocese world wide, Jehovah's Witnesses, Southern Baptists and a score of other religious organizations that we read about daily in the media exposing them for their crimes against children. At the same time these religious hierarchy's are spending millions in order to keep these crimes against children a secret . The perfect storm of a corrupt religious hierarchy who are determined at any cost to keep secret it's crimes against children coupled with it's decades of abusing it's power over it's own people. What this book explains is the destructive power and deception used by religion that astonishingly will get the very parents and family of the abuse victim to side with the corrupt religious order over the safety and welfare of their own children. It is my hope that a workbook can be generated from this book that will help the hundreds of thousands of people that will be leaving these dangerous and corrupt religions in the next several years and beyond in order to fully understand and heal from the abuse they suffered. I highly recommend this book to all those who seek to understand the gravity of child abuse when it occurs in a religious setting, and why child abuse crimes have gone unchecked for decades in religions everywhere.

I'm just purchased this book from Amazon, thanks for the opportunity. My family has endured the hushed-up/pretend-it-didn't-happen/doesn't-matter-anymore attitude for several decades now and although the abused daughter follows that jw line, I find I continue to be internally outraged at the silence.
