Work is underway for transform WT buildings into office and retail space

There was piece in the NY Daily News about the work being done to the "old" WT building in Brooklyn Heights.

Some hightlights:

"The Kushner Companies-owned buldings, which traded hands for $375 million — Brooklyn’s most ballyhooed sale last year — will cater to creative-class tenants. Amenities will include a gourmet market, roof deck, pet-friendly spaces, daycare facilities and bicycle storage."

"Several major tenants are expected to be announced within the next 30 days."

"A $100 million overhaul is underway, and the project is expected to be open and occupied in the first quarter of 2015."

Now if the Wt. guys were smart business types like the Mormons they would have held interest in the buildings and made more $$$

$375 million would build a lot of assembly halls and kingdom halls, even after building their new remote headquarters compound. And there would still be plenty left to pay the reimbursements for DOs. And all of this cash on top of the hundreds of millions they've received from the sale of other properties in Brooklyn and around the world.

So, I wonder where all that money has gone?
