Why does the organization disfellowship homosexuals when tho homosexuality is against 'biblical' mores it is not illegal and it is an issue involving consenting adults . . .
whereas pedophilia is not only illegal and immoral by societal and biblical standards but is an act of the worst kind of assault inflicted on an innocent HELPLESS child by an accountable adult?

Would like to add a story that sad posts about emotional neglect in the congregations had me thinking about last night;
A sister in the congregation I attended once told me bitterly about her dead son.
He had been raised a witness but had been disfellowshipped because he was gay, she said he had gone out into the world and he had gotten infected with HIV, he later came back to the 'truth' and died at home with her.
She was sad and bitter but she talked like he more or less got what he deserved (from a biblical standpoint, she obviously loved her son) . . . and I'll never forget how she summmed it up . . .
"He came back to the truth but he was too sick to preach , he couldn't even DO ANYTHING for Jehovah!"
Even though I had either been actively in the organization or actively believing it was the truth at that point in my life I was very disturbed at her attitude and how whe felt obligated to feel.
I remember wondering why she felt an Omnipotent god needed a human to
DO ANYTHING for him.

1. JWs do not disfellowship homosexuals for being homosexual but they do DF for having homosexual sex.
2. JWs do disfellowship for pedophilia. The issue is that they allow these people to be reinstated and have access to children without their parents knowing that they are a potentially dangerous person for their children to be alone with. Secondly, homosexuality is not against the law in many states but pedophilia is illegal in all states thus presenting the need for a legal aspect to the situation.

I think the main reason they DF homosexuals is because they listen to showtunes. That and they spend too much time on grooming. Look at the GB, do they spend any time on grooming??? See, gotta read between the lines.

I think your #1 should read: JWs do not disfellowship homosexuals for being homosexuals but they DF you for living as a homosexual. IE: You can never have any kind of romantic relationship with someone of the same sex, you can never date someone of the same sex or get married to someone of the same sex.
This has recently happened to a good friend of mine. She was df'd simply because she had to be true to herself and not live her life as something she is not. She is a homosexual and one elder on her JC told her that the problem wasn't that she is homosexual but that she acted on those feelings.
They expect anyone that is homosexual to live a lie, to live as a heterosexual or single forever otherwise be disfellowshiped.
