Come on you fellow ex-jw's and cuban apostates, this picture on JW.ORG has to be another LIE from the GB. I don't buy it! The cubans in my area have always said they preach in Cuba, but do they really do it in the same way as in the states?

Things must have changed a lot in the last few years. In the late 80s we met a family who had escaped Cuba not too long before. They said bibles were scarce; only COs had wt mags and that if they were caught with them they were marched to the police station and had their eyes put out. They said the sisters had to dress in skirts all the time so that there would not be a day where they looked more dressed up, so no one could tell they were dressed up for meeting or service. The daily texts were very scarce, so the sisters would sit together and make copies of them, with the windows closed and curtains drawn. There were many other details of a terrible hard life. Well my mother is from Cuba so I was very interested.
