So Is this the $5000.00 that each congregation allowed to keep really the same amount for all congregations?
I mean $5000.00 in Pratt Kansas goes a lot further than 5k in Los Angeles California. Seems Strange. The amount of reserve should be based on the property value of the building needing potential repairs.

My thought too. I wondered about this. Seems so incredibally ignorant to dictate the exact same amount to be"sufficent".

Stop moaning - it's a loving provision from the Glorious Ones to allow the congregations to keep a maximum of $5000 of their money!!
Our suck-ups Elders are odds-on to give away every last £ in the account, in order to buy the C.O.'s seal of approval - as listening & obeying, (to the G.B.'s demand letter) and being blessed!
The last thing they want is an Org-inspired inquisition into why they copied Ananias & Sapphira and "withheld" part of the funds they had!

We all know over-bearing husbands who control all the cash. They like the little woman to come to them for the cash. The mere act of pulling cash from their wallet makes them feel excited! Their cave-man brain is laying a kill at the feet of their defenseless mate who then reciprocates with adoration.
It's basically like that... weird and controlling.
I think the new provision of $5000.00 will prove to be a "detuctible" If you have a repair need more than $5000.00 you will have to pay the first $5000.00 before ANY help is given.
Then say you have an expense and spend most or all of the $5000. How are they supposed to build it back up again? It may take a long time. My old hall could barely make their payments as it was.
