When I was young and wanted to meet other young ones and girls we would look forward to the district assemblies, even the 2 day circuit assemblies weren't to bad and we would go to other ones we were not assigned to in order to meet new ones. With this new program of one days and the district assemblies possibly going to 1days this looks to me like it will be much harder for kids looking for mates to find any. I hope this means that many will mary outside the truff and be another nail in their coffin. What do you think?
I was thinking the new assembly program may be another nail in the coffin.

It is an uphill battle for young JWs to find someone to date or get married...it seems designed that way.
Some select few get greenlighted and facilitated. Others, the group dynamic comes into play and roadblocks are set in place.
I wonder if this is part of a group subconscious, even though having offspring is not an outcome consciously esteemed by the Watchtower, perhaps there are collective subconscious forces at work to ensure that any matings that occur are those which are beneficial to the group organism.

new hope and happiness
I grew in to a healthy teenage boy,and before i realized what happened, i realized life was all about girls. Now where were they hiding or was it me?
Actuallly crazyguy thats not a crazy question, if you squueze the desire out of a teenager and replace it with theogrstic meetings, and make a person feel evil for having teenage thoughts...well i think teenagers are too humun and therefore some leave voluntairly, others results in a lot of disfellowshipping and some mary young " in the truth" and i hope in love?

WT has always looked down on sexuality and marriage. Do what I say, not what I do.
WT/GB are abusive and hypocrites.
Tony the Third, going on about "tight pants" in Rome?
And about homosexuals in the fashion industry?
He sounds like a lunatic.
Something has to change.
This is 2014. People are smarter now.
Maybe that is what the May 2014, sign this "donation" card, is all about.
Trying to milk JW's to give more and more until... they finally wise up and leave.
Pocket book , closed.

Maybe they aren't thinking they will be around for another (overlapping) generation. So, who cares if they find mates? Remember, it's all about the $$$$$$

You are at the assembly to take in knowledge...not to find a hot babe to marry...at least that is what we were told!!!
It is extremely difficult to find a mate in the org. Start dating someone and automatically you are pressuered to marry quickly before you do the nasty and end up df'd. You also cannot possibly get to know anyone well enough to make an educated decision about marrying them because you are never supposed to be alone and must be chaperoned at all times. Lots of fun!

I recall (Blondie, do you have it?) hearing a talk, or maybe in WT literature, about someone meeting a fellow JW, and getting married in a week or two.
The WT/GB reasoning was that if they are a baptized JW doing the (GB's) work, you can expect them to be fine, up-standing JW's... so more or less, go and pick anyone... And marry them!
The WT/GB didn't care. They wern't the ones marrying them! lol
This talk or literature was about 1978 -1980.
I went to a JW wedding at our KHall during our district convention. It was during this 1978 - 1980, time frame. The couple lived miles apart and had known each other maybe a total of 2 months. (?) They met. Liked what they saw, and without really knowing each other, got married. She got baptized that day and got married that night??? Yes, it is true. They went pioneering togeher in the north. Maybe N. Dakoda.
"Headquarter's" thinks of all of us as their slaves. Does "Mother" "Headquarter's" care who we marry or even if we marry? No.
They would rather we not marry, because they can "use" us harder.
We can marry, but only a fellow drone.

As with the money, the washtowel simply wants to deprive people of sex. They might start cracking down hard on leaving your assigned a$$embly, unless doing so is absolutely necessary or you have a specific assignment elsewhere. Plus that they nurfed the length, it makes finding a mate that much harder. Inter-racial marriage where the parties are forced into them against their wishes will become more common. (And that's if they can find anyone at all.) People will have to settle for partners they are not attracted to. This could also lead to people in their 60s and beyond being forced to marry people that are in their teens--especially when it is the women that are older (and beyond reproductive age). At the very least, this is going to be destructive to the solar chakra, as is anything else where choices are limited.
I hope this leads to fornication galore. I am hoping that this prevention of marriage leads to people going out and doing fornication. And, being forced to marry someone they are not attracted to leads to an adultery-fest. I also hope donations for these a$$emblies drop off a cliff. Hey, if they are going to nurf my prospects for a good wife, I ought to nurf what I put into that donation box. If they don't have enough for expenses, well I don't have enough to fulfill my soul and its needs. At any rate, a three day vacation in Montreal ought to beat the pants out of attending a Grand Boasting Session anyways. Or, you could make a day trip from Boston to Old Orchard Beach, Maine or from Chicago to Milwaukee. Or, from Auckland to the Bay of Plenty. Your imagination is the limit on these trips. You could even go online to explore whatever region you choose via YouTube. It probably won't lead to any less opportunity to find a mate than those a$$emblies are. And they are cheaper.
