Satellite pictures show Lake Powell and Lake Mead at half their water levels and dropping.

14 years of drought conditions have done a number on the lakes which hundreds of cities and millions of people rely on for water and power.

I am in British Columbia. If you were in Oregon, Seattle Washington,

or Vancouver BC, you would see so much water, rains every week here.

North West, very wet, lots of lakes and rivers in Canada, lots of rain.

You must be in Southern California ?

Yes I live in southern Southern California and a once high agricultural area. Water, price and scarcity, drove most of the farmers out.

It is really sad. Flying over Lake Mead in March it was startling to see it so low.

Here in central Virginia, I'm sick of rain and clouds and snow and sleet. Not so much snow and sleet anymore...but last week, we had hail and two tornados.

PTN- It has been a couple of years since I visited Lake Mead and it was low then. Lake Powell was suppose to be the reserves and it shows the strain of the drought here.

Londo- We have family in Pennsylvania they say the same, late snows and hail.
