Oh, by the way, if you're talking to hyperloyal
Bethelites and higherups, they don't like the word
"downsizing" used in reference to headquarters
coming changes - losing people and machines.
Well, tough sh*t - that's what it is

Try "simplifying."
I've been waiting to hear from org writings that "it's a good thing that those who weren't the real children were removed from the flock".
As long as the downsizing continues - maybe they could just leave the computer that runs the place.
Bang
Good post Metatron, and a very true one as usual.
However, in typical WTBTS fashion, we know that a spin-tactic is forthcoming.
My guess is they will apply the old WTBTS addage:
"The love of the greater number will cool off"
and apply that to the decrease in numbers as a prophesied sign that the end is imminent (as if it has not been imminent for 150 years)
thereby driving the loyal drones of the WTS who lack the intellectual fortitude to question doctrine for themselves into a religious frenzy.
This is nothing more than a desperate attempt to spike statistics, especially with the 15-minute publisher arrangement and other changes brought into motion.
Sickening corporation the WTBTS is.
"Downsizing" is something I relish in watching take place.

Heh - let them call it whatever they want. The end result is the same, as with any other comapany in their position.
Yeah, there will be references to the 'greater number cooling off'. So what?! Again, how many JWs actually remember the organization's growth as 'proof' that Jehovah had their back?! You KNOW they do, and so do they. After all, it wasn't THAT long ago.
Let those 'barely' educated Bethel hopefuls come home without employment prospects, AND without those golden-city-stories about Bethel life. Let them come home dejected and without all the 'you-should-so-this' stories for the kids at the Kingdom Hall. The lack of those Bethel cheerleaders does more damage to the WT than we can ever hope to.
What happens when the Bethel heroes come home to tell the kids, 'Stay in school - go to College'? Ha! The WT did it to itself!!!!!!
What changes? Are they selling up and moving into smaller quarters? What is it down to? Not enough litter-ature sales? What?
They are downsizing printing and binding operations in
Brooklyn - losses of personell will be thru attrition
and plans are being discussed to have some of the Society's
literature printed by outside commercial firms - like some
brochures or bound volumes perhaps.
