With all the talk of disfellowshipping and the JC's that are being convened. I have some questions regarding the doctrine.

    1. Deut. 19:15 states that one must have 2 witnesses to any charge of sin against a man. (I find it interesting that in the NWT this scripture are listed under "Bloodguilt cases. Rules of war".

We know that the JW's follow this 'partial' scripture. But why leave out the rest of the text such as 16-21.

Verse 17 states that the 2 men must rise up before each other, the priests and Judges. 21 states, the eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth etc.

So why do the JW's only use part of this antiquated law instead of applying the entire scripture. Why pick and choose what doctrine they may see fit.

Is it not so that the JW's strongly counsel one "not to rise up against his brother" especially that of Court cases?

I thought I remember so many talks about Jesus giving his life for us, to cleanse us of our sins, thus making the old covenant no longer needed. Heb 8:11-13

Obviously I am forgetting why they choose to use partial scriptures.

Anyone have any answers that explain this limited us of their scriptures?

    becasue they're liars liars liars!!!

Just like the rape resistance rule, don't remember the scripture, trying to forget it actually.

Watchtower says the screaming part is literal, but it's okay if you aren't a virgin, not in a field, not engaged, not a Jewess...(one rape survivor asked the elder JC right out.--do I look Jewish? TO YOU?--)not in Israel, and not 4 centuries ago.

Nope, that part ain't literal. Just the screaming part. Well, may they scream right up their a*sses.

    D**kheads.

It's simply. These use only that part of the scripture that backs up their dogma. Anything other than that is seen as superfluous.

I don't see them using these ones.

"These are the statutes and ordinances which you shall be careful to do in the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess.."

'you shall be careful' - good news.
The JW unconscious alteration usually imports 'IF'(adding) - bad news.

"How may we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?"

"when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously, you need not be afraid of him."
