On Four Corners on Australia's ABC tonight (Saturday) at 08:00 pm, I was surprised when Archbishop Mark Coleridge spoke frankly with Kerry O'Brien and did what it seems the Watchtower never will be able to.

    He identified:

    1. Clericalism
    2. Careerism
    3. Abuse of power
    4. A culture of secrecy
    5. A culture that is determined to avoid scandal

as being some of the roots of ongoing child sex abuse in religion (and the cover ups). At least that is what I took from what was said. A transcript is also available at this link:

The Watchtower have yet to take one of the first steps: admit there is a problem.

Let us hope they are forced so to do. And then that they are forced to put the problem right.

Usually with enough Lawsuit settlements corporations change policy and are forced to do a mea culpa. Sad isn't it.
