  I think a lot of us fail to realise what a great tool , the search option is, and how valuable it can be to newbies to quickly find answers to what they are looking for , but not only newbies , long time posters seem to forget how easy an answer to a question can be obtained simply by using the search option for a question you want answered straight away.

  This topic was inspired by a long time poster asking a question that I remembered being discussed some time back and within a minute using the search option I had the answer to his question.

  I , myself am only now , really appreciating the benefits of this service , I hope you do also .

  Thnx for the reply ham . you certainly wouldnt be the only one not to use it , myself included . I would liken it to an encyclopeadia of information available to all who want to use it .

  When DOT helped me by posting a link from previous topics I realized I should also be using the search above. I appreciated the help and will still ask questions but will also continue to use search.

  I discovered the Search option shortly after coming to this Site a good few years ago now.

  I spent several days reading excellent Threads on many subjects, contributed to by many of the former Greats of this Site, and by some who still post here.

  It was an education without doubt, and it spurred me on to educate myself even more by reading books etc recommended by these great guys and gals, foremost amongst them the unique and wonderful Leolaia.

  What is so great about reading such Threads is that rather than just reading the opinions of one or two people, you get many points of view, and are helped to see who is reasonable and honest, and who is using fallacious arguments, or even downright lies, and why they do so.

  The whole experience is like a University Education, you learn much great knowledge, but you also learn how to think, how to reason , and what questions to ask. You also, as a bonus, end up with a 100% working Bulls**t Meter.

  It is so enjoyable to use the search here. I've looked up lots of life stories and comments about lots of stuff that catches my interest. JWN is my favorite website of all times. Thanks, guys!

  I enjoy reading some of the older posts. Its amazing how even after 7-10 years the information is usually still relevant (except for old light)

  I really appreciate the links provided in a thread to refer someone to for more info on the subject.

  I also click on the poster's icon to find old posts so I can get to know them better. I have found some very interesting experiences and insights that way.
