This is my half reason I canlt leave JWs;s is I need them.. for now..

The same elder that gave me $100 when m wife just gave birth... and helped me find our car.... Helped me find guys to help me move

Moving from an apartment to a trailer.. BUT... as much as I love these guys as people I know they only help because they are Witnesses....

I still NEED them for now.. if I ever can get my wife out of this it meansit's alot arder.. oh well

    Moving to a trailer...

Stop mooching and man up. It's not fair to take advantage of a good hearted person. I know it's hard and scary, but this is your self respect and morals here.

That is very naughty. To take advantage.

    I couldn't do it.

Think about how you would feel, if someone did that to you.

Actually I understand what you are saying.

That is the BIG thing that JWs have in their favor -- the "Community". The R&F really are mostly good-hearted people and they desire to be generous and helpful and giving. Someone said "there is more joy in giving. . . ." Where it has all gone wrong is they are directed to only do good for their fellow JW. In fact, if they knew how you really feel about it all, they would be directed to completely ignore you even moreso than someone that is a complete stranger to them.

That "Community" or "spirit" is what I think CJ was speaking about when he said to recognize his disciples by their "fruitage". The R&F member does indeed have that "fruitage" (as do many other good people in other churches or civic groups). Where it is lacking is with the Higher Ups who use it like a tool to control the pawns. And that identifies them for what they are as well.

They quote gal 6:10 " work what is good to all,but especially those related to us in the faith"

so yes, if you leave "the faith", you will no longer be assisted with anything....

I won't judge you for accepting any help you can get. From the tone, it sounds like you're already hard enough on yourself and see the need for change. We each have different circumstances and paths.

As far as these that are helping you, I find it encouraging that there are still some JWs of that caliber. Sure, all JWs know the Bible says to help fellow believers, but when it comes down to really doing it, many disappear. "I would help you, but I have to go in Serve-US. Sorry." Or they'll show up "to help" but come late, do the least possible, expect you to buy them pizza.

My suggestion would be to show genuine appreciation and find a way to repay their kindness. NonJWs do that for each other all the time.
