I wonder how many witnesses will, on March 16th. 2001, be:
(a) Wearing a red nose to the meeting / ministry work.
(b) Fastening a red nose to the grill of the family car.
(c) Telling jokes for charity.
(d) Rushing to the phone with their credit card details as the BBC raise £millions for Africa.
(e) Doing anything consructively beneficial for Africa at all.
(f) Tut-tut at how dreadful this wicked old world has become.

I remember a Sunday talk after a recent red-nose day where the brother described how useless it was..."what will £20m or £30m do? Nothing..."
I *really* wanted to stand up and say "Excuse me, but your family isn't dying of starvation is it? So it's easy for you to say isn't it you fat bastard !"

I think they see every pound (or dollar) going to charity as an opportunity missed for themselves
