Can any of you married folks recommend a spot for an inexpensive honeymoon? This would be at the mid-end of October. We'd like to stay away from places where hurricane season might not make for honeymoon fun.

I don't know about inexpensive but I've been to Bahamas, Cancun, and Bermuda (for Bermuda, we did a cruise) and Bermuda was by far the best of the three.
I also heard that the Florida Keys are nice.
My hubby and I went to Disney World. It was great. Beacause it was off season-we paid the value season rates, there were no lines, and the weather was cool. Good luck with your search, I'm sure you could find really great deals on travel now.
Congratulations,

Shipcruise are great so they tell me.
How about beautiful Ft. Worth?
Seriously, if I wanted to take a trip and money was an issue, I would go to California, because there is so much to see and do. It has the wine country, beaches, San Francisco, LA, Hollywood, great parks, a beautiful coastline. My favorite state.
Trips that didn't break my pocketbook: New York, skiing in Colorado.
My neighbors got back from Cancun and enjoyed it.
We all have vacation spots near us that many people may drive several hundred miles to visit. Have you ever been to any of them? It's amazing how we always think, some day I have to go there, and we never do.
Cruises are VERY reasonable and a GREAT way to travel or relax or whatever!!!
My dream place is of course Venice Italy so you can't take that one!!! also I've always dreamed of staying at the Hilton Wikaloa near Kona Hawaii!!!!!

Charleston, SC is a great, old city. Fine inns locally - wonderful food. In NC - Ashville in October would see the trees turning to gorgeous. The mountains are beautiful. How about New Orleans?
Btw, outside Dallas (about 15 miles west of airport - I think) is the small town of Grapevine (close to where COMF is/was). Wonderful town. Was there last year for business seminar. Was having so much fun in town, never went to seminar. Wine stores, French pastry shop, antiques galore, restaurant devoted to Harley riders, and so much more.
If ya'll are close.....a great weekend jaunt.

ps: How about Mexico?
I'll admit I have prejudices but I could steer you to a bunch of nice places in the Pacific NW.
On the other hand, don't knock the hurricanes. A couple of years ago one of my wife's friends and her husband went to Hawaii for a second honeymoon (a very nice Christian couple, they've been married about thirty years). A storm hit, the power went out and because they were staying in a "better" hotel, the place took care of everybody there (it was off season). They ended up with a low rate on the room, food brought in from somewhere else and about five straight days of banging each other into exhaustion.
In my opinion a good way to spend your time.
