I don't think that's new...in fact I barely remember him being called pastor.

He had no formal right to Title himself Pastor, so the WT has not used that title for a while.

Frankly I am surprised they still call him "Brother" Russell, I think they are trying to distance themselves from all the rubbish that he promulgated, and "Brother" seems to me to give respect to him, where of course none is due.

I suppose that JW.Org or WT (whatever they are bloody called now) are in a Catch 22 situation, wanting to get away from all his looney-tune stuff, but wanting to retain 1914.
