I believe after Russel died that Rutherford about Russell's perdiction of Armageddon in 1914-15 said that the end did come and now millions now living will not die. Has anyone read how Rutherford explained or his reasoning for the end did come?

From jgant's link:
“The brave young men who went to war and died upon the battlefield have not gone to heaven, nor to eternal torture…They are dead ,
waiting for the resurrection; and in due time they shall be brought back to the condition of life and restored to their loved ones and be
given a
full opportunity to accept the terms of the new order of things and live for ever” [Millions Now Living, pp. 100-101].
It never occurred to me before....This was undoubtedly a huge part of the appeal of the Bible Students' message in the early 20's: the prospect of seeing your recently deceased son/brother/husband who had died in the "Great War", within just a few years.

So he basically was saying the old order of things ended and now moving in to a new age that will finally be fully established in 1925. Ok think I got it, so how did they then move the timetable of Jesus invisable presence from 1874 to 1914 in that same year in 1925, since this seems to be the earliest date of them saying Jesus presence is in 1914?

That didnt officially happen until 1943. Even in 1935 during Rutherford's famous speech about adopting the name "jehovahs witnesses" he spoke about gods kingdom having been established for so many years already.

Neither Russell nor Rutherford ever believed or preached that Christ's invisible presence began in 1914. They did believe that it was the end of the gentile times, but as Capt.O said, it wasn't until 1943 ( one year after Rutherford's death) that they associated 1914 with the Presence.
Crazyguy, the only comment I know of that Rutherford made concerning his prophecies in the Millions book, was when he said, " I made a complete ass of myself over that." It's the only time I ever liked the guy.

I have seen coments and text here that seem to indicate they were saying it as far back as 1925-26?
