My wife came across an interesting site for lurkers recently too. Useful for those who hold onto a belief in god. www.evidenceministries.org

This guy is clearly far more knowledgeable than the elder with whom he's discussing various subjects. Interestingly he feels he's been led by god to help both JWs and Mormons see how wrong and twisted their beliefs in the bible are.

Obviously it is not about believeing - but obtaining the knowledge and understanding of what people think and why they think it.

for those of you who know psychology, there are different perspectives.

what interests one person, may not necessarily interest another.

Darkspilver - as for your derogatory comment about the 'old country' are you making a reference that America is the new country and so so much better, a beacon for the rest of the world to follow.

igonorant people will always be ignorant with closed minds.

and they will use their ignorance to mock and deride others to make themselves feel better about themselves.

Obviously, people, if your care was more for lurkers and confused people who are struggling to break the bonds of slavery of organised religion and man, and make sense of their world and reconstruct their 'psyche' and self, you would have the ability to engage in logic, civil conversation. rather than the usuals dersiory tones.
