  The above is yet another reason why the world needs to leave Iran alone - because they are evolving as a society. I would not be surprized if they turn into a liberal, anti-clerical culture in a decade or two - if the endless warfare talk stops.

  If evolution can turn dinosaurs into canaries, it can accomplish miracles for human societies, too. Hey, peacenik Scandinavians used to be rape and pillage Vikings, it can happen.

  Good point, and you're probably right.

  Sometimes I suspect that the US's tendency towards interventionism is - in part - a way of reassuring themselves that their way is the best, because deep inside they're actually insecure about that assertion.

  Iran certainly don't need a bunch sexually repressed people, make love and not war, maybe they are starting to go thru a 1960's sorta thing, a summer of Love would be nice.
