Over the past decades I`ve noticed most JW`s have allies or enemies but no real friends.As long as dub`s toe the WBTS line,thier dub friends and family are friendly to them.Should WBTS tell them to turn thier backs on dub friends or family,most will do so in a heartbeat.Most dubs are loyal to WBTS period,there is no room for real friends and family.Today`s allie is tommorows enemie.It`s a crime that a religious cult like this can tear away at the very fabric that holds the family unit together.How many of us have seen this played out over and over again?...OUTLAW

Good point. When I was still an active JW I never really had true friends. How can one be a true friend when the WT loyalty always takes precedence over personal friendships.

Many members of Jehovahs Witnesses avoid a personal religous "crisis " (disillusionment) by sacrificing friends who take personal responsibility and stand up to the WTBTS. Such members deserve to have a severe "awakening" and only a "nod" when it finally happens to them. If they storm with "importunings" perhaps they can be trusted again!

For the 10 years that I was "active" I never had a single friend. Oh, I had acquaintenses(sp), however, no real friends. For 3-4 years I was seriously depressed. (Didn't attend meetings or go out in service.) Not one person bothered to see if I was alright. When I did finally go back to a meeting I asked the brothers "Why didn't I get a phone call? I could have been laying dead in my apartment for weeks and not a single "brother or sister" could take the time to see how I was doing." What a loving arangement!!!
