Question about Hours reported for International Building Projects

I just heard from a friend that international volunteers on building projects overseas multiply they hours, preaching and construction, by 10.

Can anyone verify this? I presume this was exaggeration, but he confirmed to me this is true.

Um, how can someone make a claim and that same person "confirm" it's true? Confirmation needs to come from another source/person to be described as confirmatory.

I would suggest what was said may have been a hyperbole.

I could see the same easily applying to the typical D2D work by any pioneer. The 1.7BILLION hours reported is grossly exaggerated and I could see it being said that it is probably 10x the reality of it all.
