Overheard this at last meeting...JW's: No idea!!!

Overheard a small group (Elders, MS, Pioneers etc) complaining about the church in Adelaide called the Paradise Community Church (recently featured in the Advertiser and has ads on TV). They started discussing it and one asked "What have they got they we don't have????"....which was followed with a lot of head-shaking and head-scratching.

Ever heard of freedom guys???

PS There is only 2 events in Adelaide that needs Police road blocks....AFL matches at Football park and every Sunday at the Paradise Community Church (The churches average attendance is around 4000 on Sundays)

So the waters of the Euphrates are oveflowing their banks in Adelaide Down Under, rahter than drying up.

One of the few truly admirable aspects of JWs ar their relative color-blindness and fondness for one another, at least at the lowest strata of their pecking order.

If they allowed the use of their Kingdom Halls as a sort of community center and encouraged social gatherings (picnics, barbecues, modern day ``love feasts'') on the parking lot and lawns (many of these buildings have the room) it would certainly foster a greater feeling of fraternity and unity.

But no, let's keep the JW experience cool, pseudo-intellectual/spiritual, bloodless, impersonal ... and BORING!

And still they cry about the increasing social trends of ``cold'' congregations and the friends' ``detachment'' from one another...
