Going to meet the jw I studied with for lunch. Hell prob ask why I haven't been at meetings. Any suggestions for a non incriminating statement that will still satisfy his curiosity? He is pretty down to earth.

Depression and anxiety.
Wanting to isolate yourself and feeling angry/confused. Difficulty in interacting with people. Sleeping too much/too little.
That should give you some breathing space.
All the best.

I have been doing some intense studying of the bible,
just me and Jehovah..I know what the bible states about meetings,
but Jehovah told me , we (He and I) will set matters straight...

If you're not bothered about the outcome, just say there's some stuff you don't agree with, if he presses you then pick a subject you're confident to talk about. You may help him. Mist likely you'll just scare him off, but worth a try if you don't mind not seeing him/them anymore.
I'm presuming you're not baptised. I've just realised this is a big presumption. Ignore me, others will give good advice!

You could always just say that you want to “take things a bit slow” right now and that you need a little time for a break to think things over. Anybody who is reasonable should understand that you simply need some time and don’t want anything rammed down your throat and don’t need pressure.
When you think about it, if you were considering purchasing an automobile or a house, or, say, contemplating marriage to someone, then you would have the natural and legal right to just “take things a bit slow” for a while. But if you’re in the process of “signing up” for a religion which purports to be a life-and-death decision – not to mention at the very least involving some very significant social ramifications involving you and your family – then, of course, you should have all the more valid reason to “take things a bit slow” and really think things over.
(Spoiler: It’s really just another whacky cult. No loss there – if you don’t have any family to worry about, that is.)

SAHS: To bad you weren't around when they got me. Just to have
a little talk with me, "take things a bit slow".

I'm doing the best I can do at the moment. You can't do any better than that. It's all you got for the moment:)

Maybe there is a thought you could extract from the Watchtower lesson on Sunday?
In it we learned that some who are struggling are not weak - they are just as strong - we just dont know their story.
Similar to what label licker said above.
